1. The short version
- ibookkeeper is only a platform that connects job seekers and employers in Accounts & Finance. We are not an employer, recruitment agency, placement consultant, staffing firm or agent of either side.
- We do not take part in, control or guarantee any interview, job offer, appointment, salary, contract or working relationship between users.
- ibookkeeper is not responsible for any fraud, malpractice, misrepresentation, loss or damage caused by any user, by any dealing between users, or by any use of information obtained through the platform.
- Our verification checks reduce risk but cannot remove it. Always do your own checks before sharing documents, accepting an offer or hiring someone.
- Never pay anyone for a job, interview, training, uniform, deposit or "processing". ibookkeeper charges only for its own plans, paid through our payment gateway. Employers on ibookkeeper must never ask candidates for money.
2. What ibookkeeper is
2.1 ibookkeeper ("ibookkeeper", "Intelligent Bookkeeper", "we", "us") operates the website ibookkeeper.in. It lets job seekers ("Candidates") and organisations or individuals who hire ("Employers") register, list jobs or profiles, browse listings, and, after buying a plan, decrypt the contact details of a listing so that the two parties can connect directly.
2.2 ibookkeeper acts as an intermediary within the meaning of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Information on the platform (job posts, profiles, resumes, documents, messages) is provided by users. We do not create, select or modify that information, except for automatic masking of contact details and the removal of content that breaks these terms.
2.3 Any interview, offer, employment, engagement, contract or payment between a Candidate and an Employer is solely between them. ibookkeeper is not a party to it and has no obligation under it.
2.4 ibookkeeper does not guarantee that any Candidate will get a job, that any Employer will find a suitable candidate, or that any number of applications, responses, interviews or hires will result from using the platform or buying a plan.
3. What we are not responsible for
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ibookkeeper, its owners, directors, employees and partners are not responsible or liable for:
- Any fraud, cheating, impersonation, forgery, misrepresentation or malpractice by any Candidate, Employer or third party.
- Fake, misleading, expired or inaccurate job posts, company details, salaries, profiles, qualifications, experience claims, certificates or documents.
- Any money paid by a user to another user or to any third party, for any reason, including "registration", "security deposit", "training", "visa", "uniform", "laptop" or "processing" fees.
- The conduct of any user before, during or after an interview, at a workplace, or anywhere offline, including harassment, discrimination, threats, theft or physical harm.
- Hiring decisions, rejections, offers, withdrawals of offers, joining, non-joining, resignation, termination, notice periods or absconding.
- Salary, wages, incentives, reimbursements, statutory dues (PF, ESI, gratuity, professional tax, TDS) or any other amount one user owes another.
- Employment terms, working conditions, workplace safety, labour-law compliance, background checks or reference checks carried out (or not carried out) by users.
- Any use or misuse of contact details, resumes or documents after they have been decrypted by a paying user, including spam calls, unsolicited messages, sharing with others or data leaks by that user.
- Any dealing that moves off the platform, such as phone calls, WhatsApp, email, meetings, agreements or payments made outside ibookkeeper.
- Loss of income, opportunity, business, profit, data, goodwill or reputation, and any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, however caused.
- Losses caused by your own failure to keep your password safe, or by someone else using your account with your credentials.
- Emails, calls, messages or websites that pretend to be ibookkeeper but do not come from ibookkeeper.in or our official contact details.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law, including liability for our own proven fraud.
4. Who is responsible: common scenarios
This table explains, in plain terms, what ibookkeeper does and who is responsible in common situations. It is part of these terms.
| Situation | What ibookkeeper does | Who is responsible |
|---|---|---|
| A job post turns out to be fake, or the company does not exist | Checks GSTIN / Udyam and documents at registration; suspends the employer when reported and proven; returns the credit the candidate spent on that job | The person who posted the job |
| An "employer" asks a candidate for any payment (deposit, training, registration, visa, equipment) | Forbids this in our terms; suspends the employer when reported | The person who asked for money. ibookkeeper does not refund money paid to other users. |
| A candidate's qualifications, experience, certificates or identity are false | Checks PAN, Aadhaar checksum and documents at registration; suspends the account when reported and proven | The candidate. Employers must do their own background and reference checks before hiring. |
| A real PAN, Aadhaar, GSTIN or Udyam number of another person or business is misused | Blocks duplicates, checks documents, suspends the account and cooperates with authorities | The person who misused it |
| Salary, joining bonus, reimbursement or statutory dues are not paid | Not involved in employment terms | The employer and employee, under their own agreement and applicable law |
| An offer is withdrawn, the candidate does not join, or either side does not turn up for an interview | Not involved in hiring decisions | The candidate and employer |
| Harassment, discrimination, threats or unsafe conduct during an interview or at work | Suspends the account when reported; cooperates with police and authorities | The person responsible for the conduct |
| A paying user misuses decrypted contact details or a resume (spam, sharing, reselling) | Logs every decryption, watermarks resumes, suspends the account and provides logs to authorities | The user who decrypted and misused the data |
| Users agree something or pay each other outside the platform | Not involved | The users involved |
| A user loses a plan's credits through their own mistake (wrong listing decrypted, plan expired unused) | Explains each step before a credit is used; credits are not reversed | The user |
| A payment is charged but the plan is not activated | Checks the payment with Razorpay and activates the plan, or arranges a refund through Razorpay | ibookkeeper (with Razorpay) |
| The website is down, slow or shows an error | Restores service as soon as reasonably possible; extends plan validity for long outages at our discretion | No compensation beyond plan extension |
| Someone logs in to a user's account using their password | Suspends access when reported | The account holder, if they shared or failed to protect their password |
| A fake email, call or website pretends to be ibookkeeper | Warns users; reports the impersonation | The impersonator. Our only website is ibookkeeper.in. |
| An employer's business is not tax or labour-law compliant | Not responsible for employers' compliance | The employer |
5. Limits of verification
5.1 We check the format and checksum of PAN, Aadhaar, GSTIN and Udyam numbers, block duplicate registrations, and our team reviews uploaded documents before marking an account "Verified".
5.2 These checks reduce risk; they do not guarantee that a person or business is genuine, honest, solvent, qualified or suitable. A "Verified" badge means only that the account passed our checks at the time of review. It is not a recommendation, certificate or guarantee.
5.3 Users must carry out their own due diligence: confirm the employer's office and identity, check offer letters, verify certificates with the issuing body (for example ICAI, ICMAI, universities), and take references before hiring.
6. Your responsibilities
- Give true, current and complete information, and use only your own identity documents or those of a business you are authorised to represent.
- Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Use decrypted contact details only for the genuine recruitment purpose they were shared for, and protect them under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
- Follow all applicable laws, including labour, tax, data-protection and anti-discrimination laws.
- Meet for interviews in safe, public or official places, and never hand over original documents, bank passwords, OTPs or money.
- Report anything suspicious through Report a fake job or misuse.
7. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- post fake, misleading, discriminatory, multi-level-marketing, pyramid or non-Accounts & Finance jobs;
- ask candidates for any fee, deposit or payment, or offer jobs in exchange for money;
- impersonate any person or business, or register with someone else's PAN, Aadhaar, GSTIN or Udyam number;
- put phone numbers, emails, links or messaging handles in profiles or job posts to get around the paid unlock;
- copy, scrape, download in bulk, resell or share listings, resumes or contact details;
- share your account or plan credits with others, or create more than one account;
- upload viruses or harmful code, or try to break, overload or bypass the platform's security or encryption;
- harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against anyone.
8. Fraud, scams and reporting
8.1 ibookkeeper never asks candidates for money to get a job, and never asks anyone for passwords, OTPs or bank details by phone, WhatsApp or email.
8.2 If you suspect fraud, stop all contact, do not pay, and report it on our report form or to info@ibookkeeper.in with the job ID or profile ID. You can also report cyber fraud to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) or helpline 1930.
8.3 We review reports and may suspend accounts, remove listings and share logs with law-enforcement agencies when required by law. Suspending an account is not an admission of any liability.
9. Plans, payments and refunds
9.1 Plans give a number of credits (applications or resume unlocks) valid for a fixed period. Prices are in Indian Rupees as shown on the Pricing page. One credit decrypts one listing. Credits cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
9.2 Payments are processed by Razorpay. ibookkeeper does not store card or bank details. A plan activates only after Razorpay confirms the payment.
9.3 Refunds: a full refund is available within 7 days of payment if no credit has been used. Unused credits lapse when the plan expires. If an employer is proven fake, candidates get back the credits they spent on that employer. Refunds go to the original payment method through Razorpay.
9.4 Buying a plan pays for access to the platform's features. It does not buy a job, a candidate, an interview, a response or any outcome.
10. Personal data and contact details
10.1 We process personal data to run the platform: verifying identity, showing profiles and jobs, and releasing contact details when a paying user decrypts a listing. We store only the last 4 digits of Aadhaar. By registering you consent to this processing under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and you can withdraw consent by writing to info@ibookkeeper.in.
10.2 When another user decrypts your listing, your name and contact details are shared with that user. From that point, that user is responsible for how they use and protect your information.
10.3 We use reasonable security safeguards. No internet service is completely secure, and we are not liable for unauthorised access that happens despite reasonable safeguards, or that results from a user's own actions.
11. Third-party services
The platform relies on third parties such as Razorpay (payments), Google (data storage and email) and GoDaddy (hosting), and on links to other websites. Their services are governed by their own terms. ibookkeeper is not responsible for their acts, outages, errors or policies.
12. Availability of the website
We aim to keep the platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or secure operation. We may change, pause or discontinue any feature for maintenance, security or business reasons. Where a long outage prevents use of a paid plan, we may extend its validity; this is the only remedy for downtime.
13. No warranty
The platform and all information on it are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Salary guides, charts and market figures on the website are indicative only and are not professional, legal, tax or financial advice.
14. Limitation of liability
14.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, ibookkeeper is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss or damage arising from or connected with the platform, its content, its users or any dealing between users.
14.2 If ibookkeeper is nevertheless held liable for any claim, our total liability to you for all claims together is limited to the amount you paid to ibookkeeper for plans in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ibookkeeper, its owners, directors, employees and partners against any claim, loss, penalty, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your content, your dealings with other users, your breach of these terms or your violation of any law or third-party right.
16. Suspension and termination
We may refuse registration, remove content, or suspend or close any account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms, the law, or puts other users at risk. If an account is closed for breach, paid plans are not refunded. You may close your account at any time by writing to info@ibookkeeper.in.
17. Content and intellectual property
You keep ownership of the content you upload and give ibookkeeper a licence to host, display, mask and share it as needed to run the platform. The ibookkeeper name, logo, design and software belong to ibookkeeper and may not be copied without written permission.
18. General terms
18.1 Changes: we may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept it.
18.2 Force majeure: we are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, epidemics, power or internet failures, government action or third-party outages.
18.3 Governing law: these terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction.
18.4 Severability: if any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
19. Grievances and contact
ibookkeeper is owned and operated by NSK Global Services Private Limited, 12-E, Kalidass Road, Ram Nagar, Coimbatore - 641 009, Tamil Nadu, India. All payments are received and invoiced by this company.
Complaints about content, accounts, data or these terms can be sent to our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days, as required under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
